9:51 pm	Things I learned from Katrina Evacuating sucks! My cat does not travel well Living with your parents in a hotel room for two weeks will not help you keep your sanity If I am ever forced to live in Harahan please someone shoot me and end the misery My family are insane(I had my suspicions before but they were confirmed by Katrina) Mushrooms will grow from your mattress when it sits too long in a room that has been rained in Mold has a special smell all its own and putting vicks vapor rub under your nose will not help very much Water in a can tastes horrible You can live for months with only one pair of shoes I have a horrible addiction to iced coffee and get cranky when I can't get one for weeks You should make sure to get a tetnus shot before you go into an area that is designated as toxic especially if you are very accident prone When carpet is sumberged under water for days it loses its color Books do not fair well when soaked in muddy water Crying everyday for weeks will make your eyes very puffy and make it impossible to wear contacts You will hug people you never liked just because you are so glad to see a face you recognize when you return to your shattered home People who do not live in New Orleans will never get it Parties for friends who are moving away are not fun I hate anniversaries I still love this dysfunctional city (2 Comments |Comment on this)
